The oddness

January 22, 2005 – 4:58 pm

Was checking the logs for VDot and I noticed some odd referer links, the came from http://www.stgregorythegreat.org/church/ which I thought was a little strange, so I checked them out, the site is for a church some place in New Jersey in the US, and the designer of the site made a small typo and instead of linking to the site he wanted he directed his parishioners to my site.. Not entirely certain they wanted to do that.. So I did my good netizen thing and mailed their webmaster to let him know about his mistake..

Well over the last few weeks me thinks the corporates new years resolution was to sue anyone and everyone.. After Apple going after ThinkSecret and other mac sites for publishing info about their in development products, then this week Microsoft going after everyone and his dog for bloging information about Windows Mobile 2005.

Well SCO got a little boost in court this week, but tbh, they ain’t going to win, and it could be a delaying tactic while they attempt to raise some cash to pay the lawyers..

Was intrigued by the scoop about the possible ‘revamp’ for Google’s Adsense and AdWords, saw this and thought well what they going to do? The service is working quite well for me atm, and the revenue should be able to cover costs for the upgrades and the server move I plan for the next couple of months.. Tho, I did see the stuff about Kanoodle, would be interested in seeing if they are as good or better than Google’s Adsense for a publisher like myself. I may test them out…
