VDot Server Move
June 20, 2005 – 6:59 pmRight well I switched over the mail handling from the old Virus.Org server to the new one today after setting it up over the weekend. Everything seems to be up and running okay and mail is flowing. If your reading this and you had an account on there for mail let me know if I haven’t contacted you with your new mail account information.
It has been reasonably painless, Saiwan was spooling mail allday as secondary mail host, the new machine started in DNS about 5pm this evening and everything has been playing catchup since then.
DSPAM is working well too, IMAP and SMTP is sorted for accessing and Webmail has been migrated over to access the new IMAP server. Virus scanner update scripts are working as intended so as alerts go out the scripts update the scanner.
Mailing list was copied over in the early hours of this morning and is playing catchup with all the spooled mail from Saiwan. It is all getting classified as it should so fingers crossed no issues..
