Comwarrior in the wild.
October 12, 2005 – 9:43 amWell today I actually found the symbian virus Commwarrior in the wild, in the lobby of our hotel. While waiting to leave for the client site my Nokia 6680 had commwarrior beamed to it about 5 times by a Nokia 6600 owned by an Italian woman.
It was very promiscuous as it sent itself to one of the guys I’m working with who has a UIQ P900 and it sent itself to another of the guys that is running an Orange SPV running Windows Mobile.
After we narrowed down who it was we tried to explain to her in our pigeon Italian she had a virus on her phone, luckily her boyfriend/husband or whoever came and could speak English and was able to explain to her she had a virus on her phone.
