October 23, 2006 – 3:15 pmEveryone gets them, the ‘Hot Stock Pick’ spam emails. I’ve been getting one consistently for the last couple of weeks which has made me laugh. This is a copy of the latest I received
Interestingly the stock in question is real, but only started trading about the time the first spam mails started. The initial stock price was around 4 bucks too and has consistently fallen since to around the 2 dollar mark today. This is one of the first of the spam promoting this stock after it started trading
So, I looked at this stock a week ago for a laugh to see what was what, this is a classic example of trying to hype a stock to raise the price. Thing is this hype looks to be miss placed, it is maybe even hurting the price of the stock.
