Useful stuff for that E61 Owner
January 11, 2007 – 4:00 amGot a new phone today, did and upgrade and saved myself 10 quid with Vodafone and got a free Nokia E61. So far loving it, especially the WiFi support and it’s web browser one of the best I’ve used on a mobile phone.
In the process of getting it up and running, including doing a firmware upgrade I found these keypad codes that will be useful.
To find out the WLAN MAC address type *#62209526#
To find out the Bluetooth MAC address type *#2820#
To find out the software version and the release number of your device type *#0000#
To hard reset and completely erase all data on the device and restore to factory settings type *#7370# (default lock code is 12345)
To find out IMEI/International Mobile Equipment Identity number type *#06#
That WiFi MAC address had me stumped for a while, needed that so I could enter the MAC into the ACL for the access points and the firewalls.
