June 5, 2007 – 3:13 pmSo I saw the new London Olympics logo today, tbh honest, it is CRAP!!!!! I actually don’t want the Olympics in the UK, we have far more important things to spend the billions that will be wasted in creating the Olympic park that will benefit the entire country and not the corporate sponsors of the games. Such as fixing the London Underground, or improving local services such as schools or even helping prolong the NHS for another 10 years, maybe build a couple of new prisons to to take care of the lack of space. So many more important things to spend the money one.. Think of the Millennium Dome, we paid for that, it now belongs to a private company which is going to make money turning it into an entertainment venue.. I bet the public that paid for it to be built will never see a penny of the money the they shelled out to build it from the new owners, and the same will happen to the Olympic parks after the end…
But come on that logo cost somewhere in the region of half a mil, and it looks like it was a doodle by the Intern on the corner of his Metro newspaper while he was thinking about the Sudoku on his way into the office on the morning of the meeting to present the new logo to the Olympic money wasting committee.
Seriously it looks like a child did it, really it is uninspiring and rubbish.. The old logo was so much better and represented London more than this crap… More of my money wasted after all I fking paying for this with the extra Olympic TAX added to my council tax bill.
