NUTS
June 7, 2007 – 12:19 pmIt is amazing what 20 Tons of NUTS will make a TV company do.. The US TV Show Jericho which is showing for the first time in the UK on one of the Satellite channels was canceled by CBS the TV company that made it. However fans didn’t like it, in fact they started a little campaign using NUTS.
The origin was one of the characters when asked to surrender in the show responded by saying NUTS. So fans decided to not surrender their show and say NUTS to CBS by sending over 20 Tons of them to CBS offices in New York and Los Angeles.
They did it with the help of the company NutOnline, you can see more on this here. But what is funny it WORKED, CBS have renewed the show for a small season, with the view to more if the numbers improve..
Now the questions I have, wtf has CBS done with about 8 million peanuts, plus exactly how-many CBS staff with peanut allergies are now in hospital.
