New Jabber

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Well many moons ago I setup a jabber server so I could link all my IM accounts into one place. Way back then I tried Wildfire by Jive Software after a while I dumped it in favor of ejabberd as Java for running Wildfire on Linux was crippling the box. After ...

The new machine is better spec'd AMD 64-bit system with ...

Well added the F-Secure Security Platform to the VDot Malware scanner. It replaces the Ikarus Scanner which is being removed due to poor performance.

Scanner Version 2.0

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007

So the scanner is now over a year old, I'll be adding F-Secure's scanner to it in the next few days. But I think it is nearly time for version 2.0 of the Scanner. My plan is a total rewrite, and this time in Ruby, actually it will probably be ...

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

Well the blog should be moved to a replacement server as the old one has problems... At the same time, DNS, Mail Secondary and webmail for the VDot domain should be moved too..
